Just curious if anybody has used any of these for midbass/sub duties up front. Looking for something to put in my doors....that is punchy. and can go deep. and can get loud :) door is thorougly deadened....all sealed up.....will be adding deflex pads soon as well as a lot more clay....

i'll have 150 rms at 4 ohms to pound them with....also looking at the morel 265/266 4 ohm drivers....and the dayton reference 8's....

any input is appreciated....but i'm very curious about the seas stuff :)

thanks y'all....

For mid/bass I prefer the Peerless XLS 8". It has over twice the excursion of the Seas driver, and a large alum heatsink over the polepiece for higher powerhandling. Very clean and strong mid/bass which costs less than half the Seas driver.

If you were looking for a midrange up to 1khz or so, the Seas would be the better choice.
