cool, this might be the driver I've been looking for. RS sound quality, with dipole and MT designs coming.

MT to dipole upgrade is what im looling for.

Would love to see mid-range response graphs & review\comparo against the Seas & Dayton RS... although I have a feeling the Daytons will continue to be a better value.

I just wish the Exclusive series wasn't so damn ugly. I know they have reasons for doing the dustcap + phase plug thing, namely allowing the traditional Peerless under-dustcap gap venting scheme and making the cone more rigid while providing more aluminum on top of the pole for shorting and heatsinking, but I just can't get over how ugly they are. And the change to matte alloy for the basket and frame only makes them worse, IMO. No matter how exemplary their performance - and the grapevine suggests they are somewhere between truly wonderful and "watch out Seas Excel" - the only place I could see using them is...in a car door behind a grille. (Speaking of Seas, those Nextel-coned Excels look neat.)

IMO, the most exciting Peerless news from Madisound right now is that the SLS12 is finally available to US consumers. Sure, it doesn't have the xmax of better subs and the frame is stamped steel instead of cast alloy, but where else are you going to find a brand new 12 with a Faraday ring and under-spider venting for two bills?

Hey, would someone mind commenting on the force factor of the 7" woofer? I was looking a the Seas L18 for a comparison, and that woofer's bl is at 6.7n/a, and the Peerless is at 8.2 tm. how does that compare? The Peerless has a heavier cone too.

Hmmm....I'd love to hear from someone who's heard them. I think I'll order a set of the 5.5's next Friday. I really wanna have kicks again in my truck. In order to use the RS Audio Pro 165 set I currently have, I'm gonna have to do some pretty major doorpanel mods. If I'm gonna go through that, I think I'd rather try these new Peerless drivers in kicks since I have an extra pair of factory kickpanels I could use for fiberglassed kicks. Now to pick a set of tweets to go with them.....
