I'm piecing my system for my X5.
so far I ordered a JBL MS-8 and I'm in the works of planning everything else

I'm curious on the following:
Tweeters - Seas prestige textile dome Tweets (Since I have them)
Mids- Dayton RS125 (will it fit- not sure..) or RS100 (If i have to fit in there)
Woofer - Besides Earthquake, Tang Band W8-1853, or Dayton NS210-44

I can't decide on the woofer- it seems the tangband can handle lower frequencies, but 90% of stereo installs in bimmers use Earthquake subs...

any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Is there a price point, custom location, amp power, fill in these questions and will be easier to assist you. :)

how do you plan on mounting it
The sub will be in the stock woofer location and raised up a bit using a baffle.

I see jehnert speakers for the other car models but not the e70 x5. Can you link me on AudioSystem?

I believe my E60 has a similar under seat woofer.

I left it stock and just put 65wx2 amp to them. Much cleaner. Running LP at 250hz. Long term plans is to band pass then 70-250Hz and add a sub. The oem under seat aren't bad drivers just needed a better amp.

As for the 4" doors I used HAT L3's. Great range and easy to incorporate a tweeter. Couldn't be happier with them. Don't think it is worth the effort to squeeze a 125mm driver.

As for an amp consider the hertz hd5. You can run a complete system active as described (fronts, band pass under seats and sub)

Good luck with your build.

I do a decent amount of Bmw's and I suggest the Audio system 8's
In the e70 u have even less room the e90's
I have a set slightly used if u are interested.
I have used a number of speakers ib the doors but I like the HATS, dls r4
Haven't tried the daytons but I bet they fit
Let me know if u have any questions, we are in our second e70

Reviving this old thread...

OP- What speakers did you manage to put in your system?
What amp did you decide to go with?
Did you swap out the under-seat woofers?

I'm getting ready to install a system in my 2009 E70 X5 and am interested in hearing your results on the build.
