So I sold a black panny that worked when it left my house and when it arrived in Canada it seems to be no longer working. I bought 500 insurance on it my post office says the claim has to be started in Canada and his post office says it has to be started with me. So any suggestions on how to go about this?

We ship internationally at least twice a week. There is always some sort of confusion when this sort of thing happens. If the item was damaged in transit, then the importer would have to go to the post office and say this item was received damaged. Then you the exporter have to get to your post office and submit the claim for the insured item. You purchased the insurance, so you have to file the claim. This will all be done wit the tracking number on the package. It may take a few weeks until you actually get this resolved, but it will eventually happen.

Believe it or not but my last 4 shipped packages went to Sweden, Malaysia and two to Norway....all made it safely. Shipping wasn't cheap, around 66 bucks with USPS International Priority.

I`m sorry to rain on your parade but unless your device has physical damage you claim will be denied. they will insist on bad packaging.
