don't do it, there's other options that don't involve chopping into things.
Show me your pickup cab cuts or blow throughs
I'm always tossing around the idea of doing one in my 85 Chevy 1/2 ton shorty. I love the look and output of them but am hesitant to cut up my very nice condition truck. Anyway, if you have pics of yours or links to others, put 'em up!

Not necessarily well-accepted around these parts, but I have done several in an "SQL" setup and have been very pleased with the results. Here's a link to my build log. The more recent pics/build are after the initial Premier build pics:
