it has two blown fuses.
Not sure why the fuses are blown...I'm going to replace them and test it. That being said, I know nothing about this amp. What do I have here? Is it good for anything? It's a soundstream reference 405...says "handcrafted in the USA."
Looks to be 5 channel...

Found this on the Google. Seems to be pretty low-powered, but is this one of those old-school amps that is way under-rated?

SPECIFICATIONS
POWER OUTPUT
25 watts x 4 plus 100 watts x 1 (4 ohms, 12 V)
50 watts x 1 (4 ohms, 12 V, HighCurrent)
40 watts x 4 plus 120 watts x 1 (4 ohms, 14.4 V)
200 watts x 1 (2 ohms)
>240 watts x 1 (1 or l/2 ohm)

That would be a great amp for my GF's car if you can't get anything out of it... I just traded one away... lemme know... lol..

BTW, it's big brother is the Reference 705(s) and/or The Continum

It appears that those fuses are in parallel, if indeed they are you only need to install one of them to power it up if it powers up you can install the other. The reason i say this and what I said before about not keeping the hope alive is because if it blows it immediately it happened for a reason. hammering the amp with full rated fuse amperage to blow (which is a BUNCH) wil most certainly further damage it. Also note if it blows as soon as +/- is attached or if it waits till after you trigger the remote-on.

According to the manual they are supposed to be 20A each

Great amps so hope your lucky
take the advice above. I would open the sucker up and do a visual check before applying any power. then start with one fuse etc. If you can get it fixed without tearing your pockets from your jeans, then i would do it.
