I have been searching for over an hour looking at sonotubes. I think for the cash outlay, weight, and ease I am going to try them out. I do have one question.

What is the thickness?

I am using this calculator and I just used a generic value of .2 for the thickness. I am kinda eyeballing  from a box from this thread. I am looking for a volume of .3cft.

All you really need to do is figure out the internal volume of the cylinder ( pi × r 2 × h). If you know that the thickness is irrelevant. Here is a simple online calculator.

Don't forget to account for displacement of the driver and MDF plugs at either end.

I built a few sonosubs back in the day for my HT. You can see one of my builds on my ancient HT website. I'm sure it's a bit more involved than what you're after but it might give you some ideas.
