and i did test the amp and after seeing this pic
the board is red
you see the board when you open the back cover to connect all the cables

We have all lusted at this thing.
Do you know if this one has the logo that lights up red?
no, the logo does not light up
but you get a nice glow when you see the gold plating :)
it was hard to take pictures of this thing
because every picture i took could clearly show me and the camera and all
so i had to take a side shot

it's like your very own solid gold mirror :)

When it came out it retailed for $2500 and I think the original Tarantula (the amp on the right in an above picture) retailed for around $2000. They were both extremely low production so they hold value very well.

Yep, I sold SS back in the day when these came up. $2500 was the price for the Davinci (sold 1 to a customer who may still have it, not giving up any info on it though, as I have future plans). We never sold a Tarantula that I recall, but we had one in the store.

And, the Davinci I know of is the blue board unit that the logo lights up Red when powered. :D

Free bump, killer amp!!!

Iirc that's how you tell which one was made in USA by old Soundstream & which was made in Korea by the company that bought Soundstream. I seem to remember reading a lot of controversy over whether or not any of them were actually made in Korea. Like maybe when the company got taken over they just continued to sell what was already built & then just dropped them.

Anyway, it makes me wanna sell my 2 dream amps I searched forever for so I can buy it. Good luck selling!
