Special tool to measure Amp Wattage ?
Is there one that is not horribly over priced ??
The reason I ask is that I would like to get more scientific with my installs, and to make sure it’s not giving a speaker a slow painful death.
Good Point But how do you know their not lying ? :surprised:You are over thinking this. Just get an amp that is of a known brand and that has the "rated" power you are looking for.
It's not worth the money to get the equipment to test amps with just to know what the actual power output is.
Why are you assuming that they're lying? You don't seem like a terribly trusting perons if your first thought it that everything you're being told is a lie. If that's the case, how do you know WE'RE not lying to you? :surprised:Good Point But how do you know their not lying ? :surprised:
I did there is the way with ohm/volt meter.Damnit I said search and read the site, not post questions.
Just soak the knowledge in for a while, man. Just soak and lurk,...you'll be fine.
Because It's human Nature, Never trust people, animials, things. Would you trust a "so claimed" calm lion not to bite you?? Ask roy, Oh and I wrote a paper on it, And these facts from my paper. Why are you assuming that they're lying? The only way to become proficient at something is to acquire the knowledge and tools.
Sorry{ no special Watt meter }
albeit cool (because I have one) they don't work for audio
Which again begs the question, if you don't trust anyone, why are you asking us? Most people lie to others once or twice a day and deceive about 30 people per week.
The average is 7 times per hour if you count all the times people lie to themselves.
We lie in 30 to 38% of all our interactions.
College students lie in 50% of conversations with their mothers.
- 10,000,000 people lie to the IRS each year.
- 80% of us lie on our resumes.
- 70% of all doctors lie to insurance companies.
- 100% of dating couples surveyed lied to each other in about a third of their conversations.
- 20% - 30% of middle managers surveyed had written fraudulent internal reports.
- 95% of participating college students surveyed were willing to tell at least one lie to a potential employer to win a job, and 41% had already done so.
We are lied to about 200 times each day.
The study was conducted by Dr. Bella DePaulo, described in Allison Kornet, "The Truth about Lying," Psychology Today, Vol. 30 Issue 3 (May/June 1997), p. 53.
