I wish I had full specs of the dd aw6.5a to compare against the tm65mkiv. Might model them with the limited specs they provide since they don't have the full specs listed

Pretty sure the tm65mkiv will put perform them anyway

No problem. I'm just glad there is a place to post stuff like this.
Gees the tm65 are $150 off per pair. That's a crazy deal.

I picked up an SQL 12 to try out. All I have heard is good things about their products.
Very tempting!

Damn... the TM65 are a GREAT price.... but the subs are still damn expensive in my opinion
Super tempting. Unfortunately, I just don't like the look of the baskets. I'll be going AE or One Audio for the Caddy build when I get there. Most folks speak highly of the components, but I'm dying to try out the new Alpine HDZ.
Just ordered a set of their tweets! Not even sure I'll use them in any of my current vehicles, but for 99.99 I'll save them for a future project.

$179 for a pair a M3 carbon mids is enough to get me to return my Morel MM3's that were $850 a pair and i hate them. On order.

Serious question. Is the look of the basket a deal-breaker? Do you hear a basket? Will the sub baskets be exposed in your install?

Honestly, you cannot go wrong with the SQL subs. I know anyone that looks at the stuff I build knows I work with the SI stuff a lot, but there's a reason for it.

The basket looks cheap from the front so a grill or trim ring would be nice. The whole rain guard doesn't bother me.

My install would put them in the doors so no big deal but in the kicks they would look much cheaper than they perform without a grill of some sort
youll be smiling.
Me and my wallet were and will be smiling. The wife on the other hand, not so much. LOL!!!!

I'm not understanding. When you look at the front (cone/piston) you can't see the basket.

Help me understand. If you're putting them in the doors it's a non-issue. The rain guard serves a purpose and you're not installing them in the kicks so...I dunno.
