I have an mono amp rated as follows:

  • 4 Ohms: 700 Watts
  • 2 Ohms: 1,000 Watts
Which will provide me the best power and sound when choosing a subwoofer:

SVC 2 ohm 150 watt RMS wired to amp at 2ohm

or

DVC 4 ohm 200 watt RMS/400 watt max power wired to amp at 2ohm

Thank you for the help

Both can be wired at 2 ohms, but you won't be able to use nearly all of the power without driving either sub too hard. The difference between 150 watts and 200 watts is very small with regard to output, the driver's sensitivity, and box will play the biggest role in determining which option will work best. If you haven't purchased a sub yet, maybe you should look for something that can handle more of the power that you have available.
