Hello, I have a 2013 f150 super crew. Currently I am running 4 Hertz Mille Pro 6.5" drivers in the front doors, a set of Hertz Mille Pro tweeters in the A pillar, 8" Hertz midbass driver along with a 5.25 midrange in the real doors. I am running 2 mids and high amps in an active configuration with a Rockford fosgate DSP and aftermarket head unit.

The system sounds really good except the subs. I am running a kicker 2400.1 on two 10" Kicker L7s's in a sealed custom front firing enclosure with rear seat lift. I have 1.2cf per sub of air space available and a 6.75 mounting depth. Of course with this set up I have to run the amp conservatively to keep the subs in tact. The subs do not sound very well. They still bottom out easily, are not that musical and just cannot keep up with the rest of the system at higher volumes. I was thinking possibly DC 10" level 4's as they handle 1500 watts each and only require .75 of sealed space but am looking for any other options.

This will be my third configuration on subs. I original had downfiring sealed enclosure that did produce a lot of bass but even with sound deadening with it pounding directly into the floor, it rattled my console so much and everything inside it. it sounded terrible so I opted for front firing. I am trying to find the right dual 10" Sub/enclosure combination that can handle the 2500 watts I am feeding them and still be musical. I have a good custom box builder. Any thoughts?

Based on the volume you identified - I'd be looking at a pair of GB12s but you have more power than they would ever need - probs would be best to wire them at 4 ohms with your current amp.

Morel Ultimo 12Ti and Illusion C12XLs are going to be very musical but want more air than you have. Raven 12XLs are in this boat too but seem to model a bit better with less air than the 12XL or the Ultimos.

Also not sure if you are trying to stay front firing or down/up firing as that obviously limits subwoofer diameter.

I really want to stick with 10’s front fire for the amount of space I have. I’ll will check out the ones above, thank you for the ideas. I didn’t want to do down fire because with that much power it shakes the hell out of my console and sounds like **** even though most of the cab is sound deadened.

I've had mine in both sealed and ported boxes. In a ported it sounded amazing and would flex the whole car. But I'd trade low end extensions over output. So sealed it went. And it still gets loud and sounds amazing in a sealed box.

Just a fair warring though. Their customer service is sub-par though. But the love of that sub has made me turn the other cheek. Mine in a sealed box has a slite tapping sound coming from the dust cap area. I think the dust cap was not glued properly. I contacted them several times in different ways and even got ahold of some one and they were suppose to send me an return label and have since been ghosted. It doesn't make the sound in a ported box, but there is less excursion in the ported box. But I like the sub alot to the point that I may just get an other for the sealed box and put the one I have back in the ported box. I was willing to pay their shipping fee just for them to look at it and have given up on trying to contact them. There's plenty of ppl running them here and I'm not sure if they have had issues with them.

Thank you for the input. I like this option and from what I’ve seen it seems like the best bet. My other option was the idmax but I am liking the specs on these brahmas
I love the Brahma, and I think you will too. The extreamly low distortion is going to surprise you. It surprised me. Coming from a skar vfx to a brahma I noticed how much distortion most subs actually have.

You were right about their customer service. They show only one of the Brahma 10s I need in stock so I emailed them yesterday morning to either find a dealer that had them (none listed on their website do) or see when they will be in stock and no reply, also hit them on fb with no reply. I think these are exactly what im looking for but damn.

Told you, but they are damn good drivers I think they got the 10" x versions in stock though. They a lil more pricey but they take more power.

They got back to me, said those were about a month out. I’ll wait for them, I do believe they will be the best choice for this application. Thank you for the help
