I just got my new ride and the Logic7 leaves much to be desired.

I really like the Audison Bitone and will probably use it for my processor. I am open to passive, active or a mix depending on the speakers chosen. I will probably use a single 10" or 12" in the truck and fire it through the ski hole.

So I have not been able to find much info on what I can fit in the stock locations in the front doors. There is a tweet in the sail and I believe a factory 4" in the upper door. Can I get a 5 1/4" in this spot?

I was talking with a local dealer and he was recommending the Hertz HSK 163.4 3 way comp set with the tweet in the sails, the 3" mid in the upper doors and the 6.5" woofer in the factory location under the seats. Has anybody used the midbass under the seats with success? I would think I would need to get the woofer crossed over below 150-200hz? Seems tough for a 3" mid but maybe a 4" mid?

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

I have gove back and forth in my head if I should or can squeeze a 5 1/4 in the door or if I should use a 3" or 4" midrange in the door and the midbass driver under the seat.

Any thoughts or experience would be very helpful!

You can fit a pretty big driver under the seat. With the right power and speaker I would guess it would fill you needs down to 60hz no problem. The 3 in the door could go as low as 200hz but if you fit a 4 it would get you lower. Hertz. illusion, morel and dynaudio would all be what I would be looking at.

I would look thru the build logs and see what the guys at simplicity in sound have done with bmw's. They have not done a 7 series that I have seen but I think for the most part they have the same size speakers in most models. I am sure a good shop can make anything work its just how much you want to modify a brand new door. With that kind of car I would listen to every speaker out the . Its sounds like your budget is p there so price may not be a issue, "the sky is the limit"
The install will make the difference. A good shop will do you right.

Good luck
