What are the main differences between the TC Sounds LMS-r12 and the Eclipse Audio SW8200? I currently own the Eclipse sub but I am considering going with the LMS-r12 for my next install. The main reason why I’m thinking of trying the LMS-r12 would be for the additional power handling. The amp I am using is an Alpine PDX-M12 and has proven a bit too powerful at times for the Eclipse. At a glance both subs appear to have the same basic recipe; 3inch LMS coil, TC9 motor(?), single 10 inch spider. The LMS-r12 boasts a higher power handling and a tall surround. Would the LMS-r12 provide more output as a result? Has anyone had a chance to compare the two subs’ performance? Any input would be great.

I think I would choose the Tc sounds LMS unit over the eclipse it has a bit more bleeding edge into with the magnetic field design. Funny story is though if I recall correctly Tc sounds used to produce a lot of eclipses upper end subs in years past.
