For the price I'd be willing to roll the dice but do we think they're legit?

Got a set from the same seller back in June. They sound great.

Lots of peope have run them on many forums and with good success. For the price they are worth it. I just ordered mine, mine will be mounted right in the door. Or go with pods of some sort.

They are an identical replica to the oem Alpine, very similar performance, great buy.

Awesome! Now all that's left is to decide on a midbass since I've got the Faital Pro 3's for the midrange (and now the Alpines).

I'm looking at the:
  • Scanspeak 18w/4434
  • SB Acoustics SB16PFCR25-4
  • Silver Flute W17RC38-4

That is a wide cost range for MB.
I can vouch for the flutes. Nice drivers.

second on the flutes. I like the 8" more than the 6.5" alot more punch, but dont expect much above 2khz.

Hey Geo!
What is their mounting dia?
I need another set of tweets like I need a hole in the head, but I can’t avoid budget gear!

Body diameter is 48mm. They are 20mm deep from the mounting flange.

No. It's a ring radiator. It was designed to be used on axis. Not to say you couldn't listen to it off axis. But, there are better options available for that.

Yeah. That would work. (y)

I just hate seeing folks put these low on their door card and then not being impressed by them.
