It's available either way and even without a xover for someone going straight active. You can start with a 2 way and add the xover and midrange later. It's what i did with my Maximo Ultra 692s.

Iim using the crossover in my Kenwood ddx 396 headunit..

Good - my fear was that you were trying to use those infernal knobs on the amp. With 12dB xovers you'll need to experiment with flipping phase between each driver to get them aligned best.

The headunit also has 24 db per octave settings. Thanks for all your help.

Start with 24dB then (keeps things in phase) and experiment with overlap vs underlap to get the best response.

Keep the midrange and tweeter physically as close together as possible and preferably on the same plane/axis (all 3 if possible).

Take the time to listen to each driver individually to make sure you know what's coming from where and use the xover settings and time alignment to get the best (smoothest) response possible before doing any EQ work.
