For more than six years, vehicles equipped with Hybrid Audio Technologies products have dominated at the local, regional, national, and international levels in organized mobile sound quality competition. The weekend of September 24-25, 2011 was no different. Branches of Team Hybrids, the official competition team of Hybrid Audio Technologies, descended on three different locales to compete for ultimate sound quality honors.

At the United States Autosound Competition International (USACi) World Finals, held in Shreveport, Louisiana, Team Hybrids competitors Tracy Young, Joe Wallis, Steve Lasher, John Sketoe, John Roberts, David Seal, and Scott Buwalda vied for honors. At the conclusion of the trophy ceremony, five first-place national championships had been won by Tracy Young, John Sketoe, John Roberts, David Seal, and Scott Buwalda (exhibition class, single-seat Extreme SQ – an exhibition sound-only class). David Seal also won a runner-up second place trophy in another class he competed in. An additional, sixth first-place trophy was won by Erik Hansen, a non-Team Hybrids competitor using some of the Hybrid Audio Technologies products in his winning vehicle. Hybrid Audio would also like to recognize the efforts of Joe Wallis and Steven Lasher for their contributions at the event, as well as Team Hybrids coordination by John Sketoe.

Located 340 miles to the north, Team Hybrids competitor Todd Luliak competed at the 2011 Oklahoma State Championships hosted in Tulsa Oklahoma, posting the show’s highest sound quality score, and beating out notable stalwart/expert competitors for this distinction. Todd went on to win his class.

Finally, 1,530 miles to the west of Tulsa, Team Hybrids competitors Jim Bishop, David Mennie, Scott Welch, Jim Becker, and Vince Miranda vied for West Coast Championship honors. At the conclusion of the trophy ceremony, four West Coast Championships were crowned within the Team to Jim Bishop, David Mennie, Scott Welch, and Vince Miranda. Vince Miranda also went on to win not only the Xtreme Install class, but also the Best of Show Sound Quality, and the event’s “Best of the Best of Show.” Other runner-up positions were won by Hybrid Audio-equipped cars, including David Mennie’s effort in the Street class (David competed two vehicles at the event, and won a first and second-place honor, respectively). Hybrid Audio would also like to recognize the efforts of Jim Becker for his contribution and Team coordination at the event.

Hybrid Audio Technologies has supported organized sound quality competition since 2005, and to date has amassed eighty six (86) national-, league-, and world championships in that period of time.

“Naturally I am elated on how cars equipped with Hybrid Audio Technologies product fared at the three events this past weekend” noted Scott Buwalda, founder and CEO of Hybrid Audio Technologies. “We continue our reputation of having the finest-sounding cars by international judging standards. Thanks go out to the competitors that voluntarily choose to use our products, and the hard work and effort they put into their cars to make them the best in all of North America.”

I have L6SE's and already have L8SE's about to go in the door and the 6's will go into Kicker's, all pushed by ARC AUDIO. The 6's sound so good by themselves, I can't wait to Hear the 8's added to the mix.
