Probably silly questions buy......

Does time alignment actually delay the signal to the speaker so the sound reaches your ears at the same time OR does it attenuate each speaker so your ears hear the same volume?

Have a 6 channel amp and thinking of bridging channels to send higher power to midbass. Does the amp now send L and R signal to each speaker?

Time alignment delays the signal. To get a proper stage, some amount of level adjustment will also need to be done, separately.
For your bridging, it depends on what signal you're sending to each channel. Bridging channels 3 & 4 may require feeding them only a right signal and 5 & 6 would get only a left signal. You may need some y-adapters or just swap some rca's around. In any case, the bridged channels need the same signal.
