One of the things I have always struggled with is slipping this type of connector on speaker terminals. I know it seems like a small thing, but if you break the terminal the speaker is ruined.

I generally have no trouble with the larger positive connections, but I almost always seem to bend the smaller negative terminals. I often find myself digging out a very small screwdriver or other such device to open up the connector a bit and then take a small pair of needle nose pliers to clamp them back down after I connect them to the speaker.
I might be that I am using crappy connectors -- I grabbed some at a local auto-parts parts store about 5 years ago when I first installed aftermarket speakers in my truck.
Any pro tips would be appreciated.
