Does anyone know if you can use regular rca connectors, like ones to build interconnects, to build video interconnects? Is the same cable used as well? Or is it a different signal and therefore needs different materials? Thanks!

Are you talking about a single-connector composite video signal, or are you talking about three-connector component video?

The composite video signal usually wants a 75 Ohm type of cable, but for the short runs in a vehicle I doubt you'll be able to see any difference between a video cable and any other type of good-quality signal cable (Belkin, Canare, etc.).

I just needed a new one to go from the front to the back of my car. I only gave a 6 footer now. So I figured since I was making all my others that I would make this too.

To answer your question, yes the single connector cable. Not the bunch of 3.

I went to my local elecrtronics store and got some belden rg-59 and some 75 ohm connectors this morning. I'll give it a shot tonight and if it works I'll post up what I did.
