I think you will be much happier spending a little less money than the Vifa Pl and replacing your cdt mid with a Seas CA18RNX.

Seas are cheaper, more detailed and open sounding, and the bass is punchier/snappier.

Ah I'm sorry I thought you were talking about replacing the 6.5"

The vifa pl11 mid is actually a pretty good driver, if not a bit on the warm side. It's certainly a very dynamic and beefy driver as far as a 4" mid goes.

Vifa pl is definitely for those seeking a rich, warm, dark, softer sound Imo.
