PE carries what appears to be a slightly newer model of theXT25G. Looks like a tweeter with a hardon.

It appears they are out of stock. I need a set of these. If they are just like the polk LSI tweeters/SR tweeters, they are some of my fav's.

similar, but damn is it deep. I don't know that I can fit this. Also, will these really play down to 1.5k as suggested? Is that too low to cross them over? I was going to try using my ESX Q60.4 to go active, but the crossover stops at 1.5k.

can you add a capacitor or inductor to the leads going to the speakers ?

a passive x-over adition so to speak

I could do that, but doesn't that kinda defeat some of the purpose for going active?

not really. If you already know what you'll keep the x-over at, I don't see anything wrong with making a passive. Active simply allows you to 'actively' change things. If you don't need that ability with a certain driver, then you don't need it.

I had always thought it would eat up the efficiency.

It would, but would be unnoticeable.

Is that just on the cap/inductor side of things, or does that go for the coil for the woofer as well?
