2 Way Setup -
Scan D2904/6000 in the dash
Seas Excel W18E001 in the doors.

All bi-amped - active processor.
The current opening in the dash is a 55MM midrage so I should be able to squeeze the Scan tweeter in.

Love to hear your thought + recommend XO settings.

man you are going with the big boys right off the bat lol

why not work your way up first

peerless exlcusive 7" and the dayton RS tweeter

ive seen all your post on eca and my best recommendation is start cheap and listen to as much equipment as you can before you start paying 300 for some mids or tweets in case of the LCY's

and every car is different man, no one can really tell you crossover points--read the tutorials and look at the OEM graphs and youll easily be able to figure it out

those drivers you have picked are rather popular so many have used (posted) bandpass on DIY and eca

Heh......it's a fresh start for me again. Audio system is gutted and has been for 2 weeks already .....and I'm DYING in the car. Iridiums, etc are going up for sale soon as soon as I get a chance to take some pics, etc.

However, I'm trying to REDO everything and make the *upgrade* worthwhile if ya know what I mean. It was pretty damm decent before, now it's going to be GREAT.

I've got the AC bookshelves at home - Lesiure 3 SE Deluxe and they're great !
Don't want to hack the door panels and A pillar is not a option due to airbags so factory mids in the door and I'm using the midrange in the dash for the tweets.
So in that respect, I am limiting myelf to a 7" mid and a 62mm overall diameter on the tweeter.

What kind of top end do you like?

The LPG's are usually much preferred to the Scans if you like an airy, more spacious sound. And then some people like to go to the next step, which are ribbons.

But if you like a more rolled off top end, and a focused, fuller sounding tweet the Scans will do very well.

Hmmm......Revelators or W18.
Is there any sound differences due to the speaker location.
It's going into stock door locations which obviously is off axis and *low* since it's a SUV and I'm sitting higher up.
