very nice amps. sound great and make great power as well. wuold be hard to be at any size, but the size really sets it apart to me.
I have the sd1300.5 in the car and am totally satisfied. have a second that may go in depending on what my anarchy midbass end up wanting for power. I almost went with the ti2 1600.5 for the more power in the 4 channel section

Ok kewl, they really are compact for their rating i was just worried how they compare to the similar amps out there alpine jl etc i mean would the ti2 lineup be equal to them?

more power by a ways. I just looked at the birthsheets of 2 of the ti2 1600.5 and the worse one was 149x4 at 4ohms and 907x1 at 2 ohms

Just bought a Ti21600.5

Should be here next week, I will let you know when I get it.

80w isn't enough IMO. 150W is much better per channel for active setups. I don't even care about the substage tbh. If it was up to me I would be running two ti21600.5s and use the subchannel for midbass and bridge the mains for full rangers. :-D

Nah that is overkill. In all seriousness though 150w for mids is enough to play clean very loudly. The best part of the amps IMO and why I got one over say a p900.4 was that the power supplies output the same power independent of input voltage, kind of like the JL's. That's what happens when you get an amp with a good power supply.

Here is what I found from a PG employee on here:
"he Ti2 and new SD amplifiers are a full range class D design we have been working on for sometime now. This is not an off the shelf Asian design. The electrical designs are all done in the usa with our electrical engineering team.

The full range class D design is really top notch, it uses what we call ADAPT technology. Basically its a rail jumping Class D that jumps up and down to the appropriate voltage rail according to the signal input, very cool. Not to mention a balanced differential front end with very nice Op-Amps. It also uses post filter feedback in the output stage for excellent sound quality. This is one of best sounding full range Class D amplifiers out there. I will post some PCB pics when things get closer.

Here are some TI2 1600.5 power Measurements for reference...

Rated Power:
200w x 4 @ 2Ω
125w x 4 @ 4Ω
plus
800w x 1 @ 2 Ω
400w x 1 @ 4 Ω

Measured Power:
250w x 4 @ 2Ω
140w x 4 @ 4Ω
plus
940w x 1 @ 2 Ω
500w x 1 @ 4 Ω
"

thats Morgan's word,correct?
from the 2 that I looked at the sheets they were both within a few watts on all channels. 149 vs 152 and 907 vs 916. still plenty of power for just about anything.

If it was your own educated guess which would you get this amp or an alpine pdx v9?

agree that the pg is the superior amp between the 2. the pg is what I decided on, but ended up getting deals on the sd1300.5 so went that way. and am even happy with having alittle less power for fronts

Sorry totally forgot about this thread. The amp is a beast. It is WAAAY smaller than I had imagined considering it does 1600 RMS. It sounds great (although I don't believe in different sounding amps) and the clipping indicators are a nice touch. I have it powering some Mark Audio Alpair 6's and some Silver Flutes in the doors. I have been through ID, Peerless 8's, and the Silver Flutes ( I don't know if it is the power difference) are the best mids I have ever used. This is bar none the best setup I have had for dynamics. In an ideal world since I said before I am not a basshead, I would run two of these and use the 5th channel for midbass/stereo subs up front and bridge the front 4 for mids/tweets or fullrange.
Definitely worth the money IMO, and I have used the JL HD series.

Gonna get rid of jl i think anyway, this is very tempting, no on off pops at all or hiss? Im very fussy about pops!

No pops, it is soft on I believe. I have the gains like 1/3 and a 5v deck so no hiss.
