If this has been discussed, please just delete this post. I've read that a ribbon tweeter is seen as a zero load to an amp, and that you should put a capacitor inline with them. What size cap should be used with the Fountek Neo3's?
That's about 850hz on the founteks. So the reason they recommend using caps is turn on/off issues? That could explain why they recommended a cap when using an electronic xover.
Pretty much... there's also the issue that sometimes your source will begin playing before your active crossover can turn on... or in the case your settings are reset or deleted.
But no... those caps are rated at 250VDC so burning them out isn't really a problem.
