Only big name brands like Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, MTX, Pioneer, Focal, Kicker etc are available locally...
Any of them !
Get a small 4 channel amp, and bridge it to this Focal set. I'm sure it can accept more than 60 watts rms !
I like Rockford, personally.
I have a set of the older 165 KP and I run it with a sundown 50.4 bridged : 2 x 160 watts rms ! I don't say the speakers receive all that power, but I'm sure there is more than 80 w per side !!!
FS is around 70Hz - a HP filter set for 80Hz on a 24dB/oct slope is what I would use.
The set can accept up to 180 CLEAN rms.

I'd buy something like Audison LRx, Focal FPS or DLS RA ; 4 channel amps and use it bridged.

thanks for the replies... i have ditched the Focals listed in the OP and bought a set of Focal K2 Power KRX2 set (100w RMS per speaker, 200w Peak).. I have also purchased the Focal Solid 4 Amp (75w x 4 @ 4 Ohms/ 100w x 4 @ 2 Ohms/ 2 x 200w @ 4 Ohms (Bridged).. speakers have a 2 Ohm VC.... so do i just wire them in series as normal or bridge them or is there some other way?? i want the max SQ possible out of them... please advise.. thanks!

How did these end up sounding in the end / what did you use?

I recently had to return a pair of the KRX2's As I've determined they won't fit in my CR-V without some serious modification to the door panel / steel that I'm not really interested in doing - so I'm torn now between what I will wind up with but KRXS is on my list amongst a couple other brands... (too bad to, because I had got the KRX2's for $600 )
