Hi all. Quick question for you.

I have here a beautiful near mint JBL crown bpx2200.1

I love this amp.

I has done so well for me, my brother-in-law bought one on the forums here last week. (so now I have 2 sitting here. lucky me :) )

Unfortunately, mine developed an overheating issue.

I bought it direct from Harmon less than a year ago, so it's still under warranty.

I contacted them, and they gave me a choice.

I can send mine out for repair, at my expense for shipping to the center. They will of course pay for the repair. (presume they would cover shipping back, but not 100% on that)

OR

They offered me a brand new GTO 24001 in exchange.

What would you do?

Don't hesitate to ship that puppy in. Harman Int'l takes care of their products well. You're in good hands with them. Cost to ship is $25.00 - $30.00. Inexpensive solution - and they should re validate the warranty for the piece too.

Now that's something I hadn't thought of. I will have to check with them on that. I was thinking that if they repaired it, it would be done.
If the warranty gets revalidated, then that's awesome.
