Hello,

I have a 1993 Buick Regal that I plan to install a subwoofer in. It's a 10" unit in a box that a neighbour gave me some years ago. I plan to power it with 2 channels of a 4 channel JBL amp. The question is: Which interior speakers should I power with the remaining 2 channels?

The guy I will likely have install the system says I should use the rear deck speakers, given that they are the largest. Though this is true, I wonder if it's still better to power the front door speakers, as they are closest to the driver.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your time!

Edit: I should also note that at this time I'm using the stock speakers, which are comprised of two in each front door, and the rear decks. There may be some in the rear doors too, but I'm not sure. The deck is an aftermarket JVC.

Well, in all reality the 6x9s should be able to handle the power better. But thats where the advantages end.
For the sake of futere upgrades go ahead and amp the fronts and stick around to read some of the past post.
Use the search option, theres a wealth of knowledge here.
