I've attached a screenshot of my boxnotes.
My exterior dimensions with .5" plywood comes out to 1cu.ft. internal.
Probably .92cu.ft. after sub & bracing are installed.

I'll be building two of these boxes for a very particular under-carriage truck application. Firing up through the front floorboards via vented holes.
Depth isn't very much. ~6" depth.
While width is 9" and length is 45".

It will be for an open-air truck.
Tons of digital amp power, whatever I need.

I listen to hard rock and newer jazz.
So I want tight, loud, hard hitting bass.
Which means I'd really like extension to 30hz if possible, but I don't expect it in an open air vehicle with tiny open air enclosure.

Again, it'll be two enclosures.
One under each floor board (passenger & driver).
Each with 1cu.ft. internal before sub/bracing.
With open-air, I don't want anything visible inside the cab.
Think of a Jeep without a top.

Three 6.5" per side would be kind of sexy.
Total of six 6.5".

But keep in mind, since this is an open-air vehicle, I lose all that free bass you might get in a hatchback or something.

That width and depth is going to be a big limitation.

Vented holes in floor like a mesh or are you cutting holes?

Will it need to survive rain or fair weather vehicle?

Yep, my thinking is a mesh type setup to retain as much floorboard strength as possible.
It will need to survive outdoor life. No garage.
The truck has a soft-top so rain is not an issue in the interior, which will be carpeted.
And I was thinking of painting the undercarriage enclosure first with all-weather sealer and then truck-bed coating.
Then silicone around the face to ensure a tight seal into the cabin and to keep moisture away from the face of the driver.

Sorry, but there isn't anything to debate. D does not mean digital. Plain and Simple. Not saying anything regarding amp designs or which is better/worse.

I would go with 2 or 3 jl 8w3v3’s per enclosure, there’s lot of high output 8’s out there but these are very impressive and requires a very small sealed or vented enclosure.

Ar you only interested in this application or have you considered a center console enclosure? Otherwise, I think the 8w3 mentioned above would be good. Or another highly rated sub would be the Image Dynamics ID8 and IDQ8.

sealed box volume: 0.3 cubic feet
Oh wow, that's crazy small.
I'll have to create a WinISD file and see how it looks without cabin gain.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Maybe I should look at the ported as well, to try to recoup low end loss from lack of cabin gain. I'll check them both out.
