ok long story short

i need to highpass my midranges around 300hz.. this is just temp and even a first order crossover will do.

now i know i can just wire in a cap.. and that will give me a first order crossover..but the problem is... my speakers also use second order passive crossovers in between the mid and tweeter..

so im unsure if its still possible to wire in the cap to the speakers or if it will alter the Xoverpoints of the passive crossover and just screw everything up..

sorry if this is hard to understand, its kinda hard to word.

Just run the cap after the crossover inline to the driver.

You know that a first order -3dB at 300 is another -6dB at 150, and another -6dB at 75?

The old rule of thumb was double it - to go -3dB at 600 so that you could be -6dB more at 300 and another -6dB at 150... you will get a lot of output in the stopband.
