Winter meet... Feb 4th - Pulaski, VA

Setting up a small (although no actual limit) meet for February 4th in Pulaski. The park itself is located 5 minutes from I-81, address 5100 Alexander Rd, Dublin, VA 24084. In February, we'll have no issues using the big shelter and having power available. Plenty of hotels right off the interstate.

I'll likely plan to head down Friday afternoon, potentially dinner at Als on First, then Saturday at the park. Bearing in mind it'll likely be pretty chilly, but so far, the weather has been good. So you'll want to bring warm clothing. We've had a winter meet twice I believe, both times the sun was shining.

I picked up a single sql 12 and 1500.1 from nick at naikus last fall. Sealed 1.2 sqft. Never tried ported cause i need the trunk space. Love both products. But new ride needs different sub. Just starting a spare tire enclosure for a bm mk 4. the back of nicks avant carries some very addictive stuff. I guess thats why its cocaine white. 😛

wish you would have told me you were getting a 200.2.
I don't need a 200.2.

I have not been disappointed with my single SQL 12 in a sealed enclosure. It plays stupid loud AND stupid low so I’d recommend the sealed to keep the size down…
Yep, I'd go sealed as well, that's what mine is and it's nice keeping the size down to retain trunk space.

Maybe trunk baffle? My 12s work very well in that setup.

If you're down to barter.......
If you're down to barter.......
I'll let you know, the thing is I don't need one, but it's a direct swap out for a 75.4 which is currently bridged to midbass, with it looking unlikely I'll ever get rear fill installed, extra power is always nice.
Haha the 6th order band pass is definitely something but don't think I have the room! I'm still talking about the demo in the "toaster" to anybody that will listen
I will have a different sub setup for the next meet. Something more SQ oriented.

Yeah, I should probably scrap the idea and save myself the hassle.

@Stycker, @j-man, and @Freakquency, check it out:

Glad to see you again, Jason. I think it was just coincidence that it went out while we were talking. Jason B and I got in there back at the hotel to do some more listening, and it definitely sounded different. I specifically remember my leg being rattled during a few demos, and that energy was no longer there. I get no continuity going to the driver, so I'm going to pull the door card to do more investigation.
Sooo...turns out one of my homemade acoustic tampons popped loose inside the right door and got under the window. When I rolled it down, the wires got pulled loose from the midbass. Anyhoo, I'm back in bidness.

That right midbass is your Kriptonite.
From now on, I'm just going to run tweeter and sub...skip all the rest

Well, it’s not like you’d have to change anything. :ROFLMAO:
Glad you got it sorted and it’s not faulty equipment.

Good afternoon fellow audio heads! After attending this meet I've gone off the deep end and changing virtually everything I showed up with lol Another member offered me a SQL 15 CF d4 BNIB for $320 (he got it in a trade) and that started the chaos. So now I am picking up SIQ 75.4, 200.2, 1500.1 along with TM8s from Nick to go with it 🤦‍♂️ :D

My question is what's the consensus with these subs--sealed or ported? Pretty much everyone's opinion I value are in this thread so I put it here. I'm thinking most are sealed but didn't really ask about it at the meet since I didn't plan on changing at the time. The recommended volume either way should fit in the trunk so not worried about box size.

Anyways, hope everyone is well and having a great week
So, went with sealed in a box made by Randy in Texas, who was referred by Nick, and absolutely love it! I'm honestly stunned at the A-B difference in my system by just removing the JBL GTI 12 MKI ported and putting this new box/sub in its place.
