Both actually, I’ve modeled a .52cf enclosure with 704 and Tectonic 2”. The Anarchy in purple is exactly what I want. With a little dsp work I believe I could achieve a flat response from the mid 20’s to 5-600 where the tectonic would begin. It looks like with two loudspeakers I can achieve this response at ~95db which is enough 20-30hz to rattle my neighbors in midday and quite a bit louder than I would really need in my home. The mid 20’s response might be satisfying enough as a subwoofer-less home theater with a high waf. The final combination is looking like a 704, 2” BMR, and Dayton reference 8” passive radiator. I think this graph is with a Dayton DS series 8” passive with only 11mm, the Dayton has 20mm and at around 50-60w uses a most of that excursion.

Here’s the response of the current box in the lower photo with 3.5” bmr. I’m playing with my new dsp board as I write this as I should be able to get down around 30hz at around 80-85db pretty flat. This is a nice little enclosure from PE and it’s crazy if I can get 95db of mid 20’s response from it. The main reason behind the 2”bmr is having a wide and decently consistent off axis power response.

The little bit of home audio diy’ing I’ve done so far has been rewarding. I’m going to be in less than $500 and have a medium bookshelf loudspeaker that’s very capable. These dsp amplifier boards are pretty sweet also.

My shop system running off a Ryobi 300w inverter, had to make my own power. Just these tectonic 3.5’s are surprisingly good with.5cf and passive radiators

Dude had a mint set on flea bay and I snagged them up right quick. Even if I didn’t have big plans for them immediately like I do, I feel like I should have a pair sandbagged because they’re such a cool driver. I don’t know if esoteric is the word or underground but I don’t think 99% of the population knows they even exist.

Well I got a pair now and I’m not one to abuse my gear, anymore, so I’ll be having em for a while.
