I got some SENNY HD280's from Newegg that I'm happy with -especially for the price... Check them... Also, "Tonyguy" has a sale going on here with a NICE set of audiphile headphones.
I have 555's myself, I'm a big fan. I think Newegg has some models on sale.

i think i had the hd260 before, and they were really tight. i'm looking for new/excellent condition around $100 or less

yes i seen those. they're about $80 on ebay all day.
Oh sweet. I haven't bothered eBay with that search yet.

Well then...I'd recommend those to you.
no one here looking to get rid of a pair?
Try head-fi.org where all the headphone nuts hang out. I am a member and have bought from members there before - like this forum, you can pick up some reall nice stuff cheap.
yeah..figure i give here a try first since i seen a few floating around before when i wasn't in the market for once. why is always around when you never need it?
I got a set of Grado 325's. I'm not sure if you're stuch on Sennheiser but these are awesome too.

Its Murphy's law. You will spend 2 months looking on the for sale section for something and then end up buying one new. The very next day, at least three will show up for sale and at least one will be ridiculously cheap. The same goes for selling. You will post it for sale and no one will want it so you will keep it in your closet (or sell it on ebay). Two months later, three people will PM you asking to buy it from you for top dollar. LOL.

I had picked up a Senn HD590 I think off of head-fi. Those guys on head-fi go thru headphones like diyma folks go thru audio gear.
i will give the hifi forum a try, but still looking on here. i remember seeing a set of hd595 for something alittle over $100 but missed that deal.
^ I love my 595's. Comfortable as hell and sound decent without an amp or anything.

Oh I know! Senns are like ear pillows... I think thats what keeps me away from Grado's.
anyone selling a set of 595 for around $100?
I have the AKG K701's. They are the only reasonable $ contender with hd650's some preferred the k701, some the hd650s. I love my 701's and with either set you choose...definately need to get a dedicated headphone amp. I got the little Dot II++ and I think I paid 150, looks awesome and sounds awesome too...has a jumper for adjusting to higher or lower impediance headphones. The 701's have a real great fit and the sound seems relaxed and if anything they seem to emphasize the midrange but with a smoothness.

I got the k701's for right under $300 off of amazon. I kept reading about how long they took to break in but thought, How bad can they really sound? I did not like the sound at all when I first got them...days of breaking in later and they made me a true believer of the infamous "break in" period. I highly reccomend them!

if i can find them for $100 that' would be great ;)
