Anybody want to trade for CDA-9887 + imprint kit and ipod cable?

I'll throw out the dilemna. I did a a/b comparison on a board in a shop. Turns out my tuning issues are the sound of the deck itself. I haven't used my imprint kit to see if that helps. I did replace the factory CD with a burn in of the new imprint software.

The band button is worn and there's some discoloration from where I push the face plate up after inserting a disc. It doesn't show in these photos though. I'll try to get better pictures.

993 has bluetooth too. only difference is the look mostly and interface perhaps, i found the 993 easier to use.

i LOVE my x993...WAY faster usb file searching than the cda-117 i had before it....but i always like trying something new.


does teh 9887 w/ imprint have usb or just ipod?

if so i'd trade you my x993 w/ remote, BT mic, and original sound edditing software disk for your stuff.

the 9887 can do pretty much everything on it's own. the imprint adds the auto-tune ability (and a bigger eq) but personally i never heard an imprint auto-tune i liked. it does not add usb or ipod abilities.

the 993 is a great unit. i have had mine for about 2 years and never had any major problems. i leave my iphone on all songs / random play and my only gripe is that sometimes it loses the all/random setting and i have to turn it back on. not that big of a deal as it takes 2 clicks and a turn to the right to reset it, just a little annoying.

i have an 800 too and love that one as much as the x993. i have the aux-in addon for my iphone via a charger/cradle sort of setup and it works great. recently got the bt for it as well but won't install it til winter is over. i know it won't be as good as the x993 (parrot) but hopefully it won't be terrible either.

I want the warm sound of the Excelon with the features of a 9887 or 800prs. I guess I want a deck that gives me some flexibility when installing more hardware down the road.

have you used the 993? like the guy above, i have never had to crack the manual for any function of the unit.....menu-driven, and very intuitive.

994 was much harder to use IMO.

The 800 BT is really good actually, I think you'll be happy with it nineball.

I think I pm'ed the people necessary. I'm not looking for a 993 unfortunately. It really kind of comes down to looks; I'm shallow ):

If I could find a p800 or 880 I think everbody would be out of luck.

I'd also like to say I'm getting married!! Part of the delay in handling this....
