Zapco ESB Mids
Bought these off classified and are hoping to install them this weekend.
Specs sheet off website http://zapco.com/prod/Speakers/Comp/2_CK-16.2_Comp_Frame.htm
shows drop off around 2.2K, so I'm wondering if anyone else is running these active and what they were bandpassing them at.
I'm currently using the Blau VC tweets and do not like them. I'd prefer something more laid back, but am hesitant to look for another tweeter until I've at least put these in.
Any thoughts?

Are those based off of Scan 8545's? They look suspiciously like the midbasses in my home speakers.
Hey. Im thinking you guys bought these from me. I had them for the last few years and love them.
Old car they played 62-2.5k @ 24db both sides
currently they play 80-2k @ 12db slopes and it seems to be about the sweet spot.
With both cars, my tweets were crossed over at 2.5k @ 12db. I use the matching zapco tweets.
Theyre not scanspeak, theyre made by esb of italy and just use a similar unpressed papercone on top of a woven cone. I like them lots

I got my original full comp set set from atsaubrey, then I got a set from trunks, then I got a brand new set and sold both of my previous sets.
Theyre being passed around like crazy. Someone else try them and do a review.

I ran them and 2.5 at 18db was was my xover point. Loved them. If you can find the tweets, then youll be in heaven.

I'd love a set of the tweets, but they're pricey on woofersetc, which isn't even authorized. unfortunately all the other laid back tweets I'd love to try need to be on-axis and crossed a bit higher.

I bought a set a while back and finally got my 3sixty.2 installed and have been messing around with them for a couple of weeks and have them at 70-2250 12db. Seem to do pretty well right there. I just bought a set of l3's to go with my L1v2's so I'll be using the zapcos as a midbass only in a few weeks.
