Doing a little work for an upcoming upgrade. Still waiting on my custom bus bars and blanks, hopefully in the next couple days.

Got inserts finished and test fitting what I have. For the fuses, I ordered nickel plated, they sent a gold color. Not sure if I like them, so ordered some different ones. May also order some chrome bolts, these are corrosion resistant stainless. I'm going to use solid copper bus bars that I'm going to polish and make shinny, then have an acrylic engraved cover.

Thanks, they are pretty basic. I built them quickly as I was under a time crunch. Once I get the tweeter location 100 dialed in, I'll probably redo them to something a little more fancy and stylish, and to fix some diffraction spots. They are kinda boring, but they serve the purpose.

Pillars are done getting wrapped by Tam. He does such great work, very skilled and highly recommend him. Should have them back tomorrow.

Got my first grill made tonight. Turned out pretty good for the first time making one. Did a practice one first, but still tedious.

I like the idea of using mini magnets to hold the grill down. May have to do that with the grill covers you are making for me. Pillars are beautiful!!

Ok, apparently I'm missing some work done, so I will add some pics to update the log.

Finished the distribution block. Top was too heavy so wound up just using screws.

Did a slight rack redesign to replace the Pico 1 with a Mosconi Pro 1|10. Glad all that hot mess is covered.

Some labeling with heatshrink labels.

Everything in place on the table. Had to move the Atomo 2 left, which means I had to also move it down because of how it's mounted. All those components are almost touching, literally the only room left is about an inch to the left of the DSP. Talking about a tight fit. I also flipped the logo on the Pro 1|10, wasn't going to worry about it, but it drove me nuts being upside down.

Next up, I added a Harrison Labs VSS-100 FluxCap. I also wanted to clean up the main power/ground and the power supply cables. It was a hot mess under there.

Test fitting to figure out where I wanted to put it.

Image

Made a mounting plate for the FluxCap and secure with 2 M6 Rivnuts. Then I decided I didn't want to make a bunch of holes in the car, so I made a mounting plate to secure the wires and the distribution blocks. Hindsight, I would have made one for the entire floor. Didn't have a piece of wood big enough and I didn't feel like going to town. Plus I was running out of time.

Covered the panel in ResoNix CCF 3F since I had it.

Made a mounting plate for the 2 distribution blocks. They are relatively cheap Stinger Select 0 in/out with 3 4awg in between. Worked perfect for what I needed which was to put the power supply feed in line before the FluxCap.

Everything mounted and wires cleaned up.

FluxCap in action. Even on battery, amp rack is getting 14.5v.

Image

Final pic, it barely fits but it does. Now that is a full amp rack.

Nice work! What filament do you use for the distribution blocks?
ABS-GF. Turns out carbon fiber filaments can be conductive, otherwise I would have used PC-CF.

Working on a photo book for finals, some of my pics had a weird aspect ratio, so I decided to do the history of the build in on a couple 8x10. Pretty neat I think. The vehicle has gone through a lot of change since Jan 2023. Thanks to @LBaudio for the background that matches my banner.

Daryl, that photo book turned out great,...I like how you introduce the evolution of your install trough the years.....
you can also implement small versions of system/power diagrams, etc

This is only a piece of it, don't have time to before finals to put a full book together habd have it printed. Instead for this Finals, I'm doing 2 photo books. One with printed pics that have the required pics to meet the EMMA install requirements with about 40 photos of connections, wiring, and hidden stuff. Then a second with about 170 pics that shows the entire build. The book for the judges has the small diagrams you made, as well as one for fuse breakdown. The background you made has been super helpful.
