Hi Folks,

I'm very new to this forumn. I'm also very new to Android Car Stereo. I joined this forum hoping there is an appetite for individuals to collaborate on DIY tips and tricks on their Android car stereo set up. I've been on other Android fourmns and the response for simple questions wasn't very good. i should point out that i'm not a developer and also not an installer.

I drive a 2016 Nissan Murano. I had serious issues with the stock radio and the dealership replaced it and the problems persisted. So i migrated to a Chinese unit Dasaita Max – PX6- MTCE-HA-V3.40-1. Its a 10 inch unit running Android 9 with 4gb/64gb.
after much reading i decide to use the Agama Car Launcher and the Poweramp music player.

I should add ,for those not familiar, i was able to keep 95% of my steering wheel functionality.

This is my current set up;
2016 Murano SL with Bose speakers and a Pioneer TS-A2500LB Sub.
ARC Audio X2 850.5 Series Class D Amplifier and an Axxess AX DSP 31 band
Dasaita Max6 Android 9 Head Unit with Stratus7 Sirius radio accessory

The Pioneer sub and SiriusXM will be installed on Tuesday.

Are there others that are using Android Car stereos that are interested in sharing their App usage and more importantly configurations tips and tricks.

Thanks for your time.

I had a PX5 unit in my bmw for a bit, then went back to my 10-year old pioneer. The sound, build, and component quality just wasn’t up to par to maximize the rest of my equipment.

That being said, there was nothing wrong with it and I did like the interface and apps a lot.

Find the appropriate threads on XDA forums, was a huge help for me, including custom firmware that improved sound quality a bit, and a custom rom that was more geared towards auto use with some helpful features.

Good luck!

I used a tablet (samsung) for a while, and I totally loved Car Launcher Pro, the GUI is awesome and fully customizable, with launcher widget and system/thirdy part widget. You can also add more pages, I had one totally black with few info(speed, time, and a plain player) for the night when I didn't want it too much bright!

I've got a Joying Android 10.0 based unit sitting in a box waiting to be installed. Not sure if that's too much of a canned product for what you're looking for info on or not.
won't be able to contribute for a bit though as I'm putting in a new system and going to reduce variables by using my old deck until I'm ready to devote my whole attention to installing the Joying and learning how to use it. I will definitely be comparing my current high end deck analog output into Helix with the Joying SPDIF digital input as well as the various ways of feeding that digital iinput

I've been using a volsmart in my truck for a few years. It was one of the few that had a volume knob vs buttons which I really wanted. It's had a decent number of software bugs, the output is a bit noisy, and it has no built in DSP stuff. I wish I had gone with a joying at this point. If I decide I'm keeping it, I likely will upgrade to a joying.
