I purchased ARC X2 1200/6 used on eBay from a reputable seller ... they have their own website also so they're well known... I bought it about 6 months ago and I just finished we the install... didn't have time to get it done before neither I was in rush to get it done but I'm having issues with the amp... one of the channels sound fades away and it makes a popping noise also... I was wondering what can I possibly do in this situation??? I want to get it repaired any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Deoxit d5 in all the switches.

Do not have the amp on when cleaning them..

Give each on a quick shot in the cracks, then work them back and forth a few DOZEN times. Wait a few hours, then do it again.

Likely can do it without disassembly, up to you.

Odds are that'll be the end of it .. seen issues with those switches so many times.

Contact arc and see what they say. Second option is zed audio (Stephen mantz) does repairs but he is in CA so can be cost prohibitive.

Since you have no warranty or exchange for eBay most likely I'd get some deoxit or crc qd cleaner from Walmart.

Take the amp out of vehicle removing all wires. Take off cover and spray board and switches. Have amp somewhat vertical when you spray if you can so run off would drip off. Make sure whatever is under amp isn't paint or something that you'd want damage by the cleaner.

I would do all this outside. When you spray toggle switches a few times back and forth, turn pots completely, etc. Wait 5 minutes then respray and redo switches. Wait about an hour for everything to dry (stuff evaps fast) to ensure everything gone. Put cover back on and reinstall and try.

Usually pops and such on 1 channel and low output is pot related. My sx2 1200.6 has an issue there on channels 5/6 (built in 2018) so I did this and problem went away.

Bnae beat me to the punch.

Glad I read this.i have a ARC XXK 4150 in beautiful cosmetic condition 9.5/10 and my ch. 4 and 5 pop in and out.i have used deoxit many times on vintage home audio and to spray on all outside pkugs, terminals etc on car audio.i have D100,G100,and fader lube.i always used it on switches or or knobs that had issues but didn't think spraying on static components would do much accept cleaning and protecting.
When I get around to it I will try it out.thanks guys.i have a Yamaha M-70 amp(have a re-furb kit for it as well).works fine but want to replace known componentsthat fail and do all new LEDs for meter lights),Yamaha CX-2 pre-amp,and Yamaha eq'550 for home I want to do full deoxit treatments on.stuff is amazing...and pricey for amount you get in can.

I was reading your post and it seems like I’m having the same issue that you seemed to be having. Quick question though, what do you mean exactly when you say that moving the crossover switch a couple of times fixed it? It’s a good amp and I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever. So I’m hoping that I’ll be able to avoid having to replace it and instead just be able to keep the $ in my pocket. 🤷
