Looking at Kenwood, Soundstream arachnid, or precision power black ice?

Need to know what kind of amp... How many channels? How many ohms? How much power do you need?

If you're budget minded, then I would often recommend going used, so you get more amp for your money.

I'll take a shot in the dark and suggest a budget amp...

If you really want to get a lot of bang for your buck on a subwoofer amplifier, then I would suggest checking your local Craigslist (etc) for a Kenwood KAC-9103d or 9105d or even 9106d... That model(s) Kenwood puts out 900w RMS, and there's lots of them for sale in my area for $40-80 in good used condition. The 9106d is the newest iteration of it, so those are closer to $100 used and $180 new.

Now if we're talking 4-channel budget amp, once again I would have to go with a Kenwood, specifically the KAC-M3004.

BigDWiz did an amp dyno on this particular model, and despite being the size of a cellphone, it performed well beyond its rated power.

I had one and loved it, only replaced because I love the JBL MS-a1004 more. I sold my KAC-M3004 for $70, which is a pretty typical price for one in used condition. While a new M3004 will run you about $100.

Next person at work that wants me to do a setup for them I'm going to get this. Compact as anything else for an A/B and decent power. I can get it for $300.
I don't think it's more value the the 4SQ by a long shot
