Looking for verified via measurement real 1 Farad size caps for filtering car audio power. Does anyone know any brand that is actually 1 Farad? Thanks!

P.S. I just tested / measured a 1 Farad rated cap and it was only ~0.3 Farad. Can post results here later. I'm only interested in real tested brands. :geek:

1 farad caps serve no purpose for car audio (well I can think of one application, but that’s very specialist and for db drag only)

either buy a super cap bank or get an extra battery (headway lithium can go in parallel with the stock battery) 👍🏼

yes totally 100% agree. i do think larger super caps & batteries will add filtering. i'm just trying to be extra prepared for noisy system so i can add additional components.
i'm also learning/enjoying testing out the caps. i'll post some test results later today hopefully. it was pretty fun, learned some things.

now i have seen some videos, although i cannot find them now....., may have been taken down, showing the 1.0 Farad caps helping reduce noise in vehicle on the power lines.
these were some oooold youtube videos. i've also read some anecdotal stories of them working for that. and some guys like them for that.
i think amplifier power supplies should have filtering on their inputs to help with this anyway..... but from the stories i have ready & my experiences, sometimes there's still noise.

I just picked up a Brax 1.0 farad cap to test since they’re a reputable company and it will be a solid comparison to the μ-Dimension model I have which uses a bank of 92 ELNA capacitors instead of a single large one.

Here’s a photo:

hey guys, purchased some more car audio electrolytic caps and tested them out,.... Pyle "5.0F", Sound Storm "3.5F", & NVX 1.0F.
The Pyle & Sound Storm caps were 0.5F & 0.3F, very similar to the Belva cap tested above, except these were huge physically.
So pretty much the worst combination....larger in size/take more space and small cap value.

The NVX cap though.... tested to be 1.3F. Tested three different methods. I can post results below. (y) :geek:
The NVX cap also comes with built in mini-distribution block, not bad.
