Most people agree that good, strong mid bass is required to fill in between a powerful sub woofer setup, and some efficient, potentially loud mids / tweets. But that takes power. I guess the trend nowadays seems to be, in using a 4 ch amp (usually a Class A/B) and bridging it to make two channels which are decently strong enough to power the mid bass drivers. But why can't one find a really nice, strong 2 ch Class A/B ? Say 500 or 600 2 ch ?
And what kind of difference would one find using a decently strong 2 ch Class D amp, vs a Class A/B that had to be bridged ?
Edit; Still pertinent, as their are so few choices, but I actually did find this

Only other BIG problem is most good, strong mid bass drivers are designed for home or pro audio, so they are mostly 8 ohm
I did find a couple 2 ohm mid bass drivers though (10" and 12" which I think could be squeezed into the bottom of my front doors in my F150) which with this amp, would give me 650 a side
I think that might go nicely with a strong subwoofer setup, and some fairly loud mids and highs.
