No... those DD speakers are meant for maximum midrange volume to match large subs. DD stuff is fine but you want 6.5 component speakers with a separate woofer and tweeter if possible. That is an odd, mismatched setup that your dealer proposed.

The last DD component I installed a decade ago was nice and bright with little midbass. A few questions to help guide the convo:

What is your goal? Just loud? Balanced? Sound quality?
What source/head unit?

 

They'll be loud for sure. Won't have much mid bass out of those speakers but midrange galore!
I'm not sure why only Stevens MB6s are the only PA style speakers that will pump out some midbass, the rest are just loud. You might be ok depending what you're expecting. I've used those style speakers before. You sacrifice somewhere around the 60-100hz frequency range to get pretty loud with the vocals.

 

Just because the Steven's use that surround doesn't make them a pa style speaker.
