I was warned, and read several things about him, but also read some good things. I wanted to try the Bleisma T25B tweeters and Solen was out of stock. ( should have been my first red flag). But audiostatus on Ebay had stock and represented himself as an authorized dealer. I had to assume he was authorized at least in europe and maybe not in the US. But he had stock and his price was reasonable so i clicked Buy it Now. i figured i had Paypal protection so so felt confident. I ordered on 1/23 and i think his "window" was 2/24-3/17 for delivery. Figuring it would take 30 days or so once shipped i started pinging him around 2/20 to be sure he had stock still and was ready to ship.

So he said, no in fact he did not have stock but was in sure he would have product that week and would expidate shipping so i would have them well in advance of the 3/17 deadline. This went on for two more weeks, and i finally pulled a stop around 3/10 and asked for a refund. He said no problem he issued a refund to ebay that day and i would have my money back in a few days.

Again that didn't happen so i reached out to paypal. They were great, they said they needed to wait until 3/17 to refund, but would work with audiostatus in the meantime.

I did get my Paypal refund from Paypal on 3/17 as promised so i am not out any money. I just hope that refund in fact did come from audiostatus and he is not scamming people out of money knowing that paypal will bail him out.

Sorry if this was TLDR, cliffnotes is i was warned and ignored the warnings. So I am warning now. Stay away from this guy. He is not to be trusted.

What’s he doing - drop shipping expensive gear? Several positive reviews saying they didn’t get the item or it took a long time - all indicating he never even had possession in the first place. What a weird business model.

Also of note, eBay allowed your negative review. The last two times I got scammed they removed my negative review despite it being just like 5 or so others who got scammed (which may be the reason for the positive reviews above citing seemingly negative experiences). The review systems everywhere are simply broken.

Very few online retailers care to carry their own inventory anymore, whether relying on a 3PL or just drop-shipping everything... it's becoming the norm for E-commerce. We as consumers are the ones who end up having to absorb the negative, unfortunately

Just so you guys are aware there is a big shortage of all the bliesma tweeters currently 😔 if places have stock then buy it… but otherwise 😔

I had a similar experience, although he got back to me within a couple of days each time and refunded me when I asked. I contacted bliesma themselves who let me know that he was not an authorized dealer and that any purchases from him would not be covered by warranty...

I think he was juggling the money, but I have no proof.

Yeah, the very first thought I had after seeing his videos and listings were that there was NO way he had all those nice Scanspeak, Accuton, Brax, Eton speakers and Brax and Celestra amps in stock. Dropshippers and "middleman" companies have been commonplace for a long time. Actually a pretty good gig. There are lots of people that drive around in Porsches, travel the world and work from a computer doing it.

I'm not opposed to dealers that don't stock a ton of products. Legitimate dealers can get products from their manufacturer quick and even if the dealers drop ship that's entirely different. I'm just not a fan of online retailers that aren't authorized dealers screwing those that are authorized. The ones that take care of the customers they sell to and can actually warranty their products and know them inside and out. I personally won't but a damn thing as far as car audio off ebay. Yes you will find some good prices but some sketching to go along with it. As far as audiostatus yes they have some good prices. Some seem too good but then with shipping they end up being just plain average. Then you wait 2 to 3 months, maybe you get the item you ordered maybe it's just something similar 🤔

Hello,

I am the owner of Audiostatus, so please let me share some light on couple of these topics.

Regarding Ebay and Bliesma. At that time bliesma was pretty much ending their retail sales and going to OEM only. We were source Bliesma drivers from couple of Europe distributors.
Yes we do not stock all of the items, that's just impossible, but we stock a lot, and bliesma units at the time were even harder to get or stock. Ebay and our web shop indicates that we have 20days handling time. On ebay even the shipping time is largely inflated to inform people that it may take some time for the item to reach the buyer. Sometimes we deliver in 2-3 days to US, sometimes in ~14 days, some times more. Also we do make mistakes, sorry we are humans.

Regarding STEG, Celestra, and other brands. We do work with STEG directly and we have all needed support from them, but again, we do not stock all of the items for several reasons. Mainly all of our product suppliers these days allows to us and even forces us to use their warehouses for stocking items. That is just the norm, specially when we have such fast shipping.
Regarding Celestra we were holding stock for mainly all models, but we just stopped working with Celestra and switched to other brands.

So in short, we offer warranties for all of our products.

So if anyone needs some answers, i am pretty easy to find and ask directly :)

I will 100% support this Gystis is a excellent seller and does warranty all his products even sold internationally. I have had nothing be great experience and when I broke one of my Steg tweeters he even offered to sale me a pair at significant reduction to help me out. Great person who loves the hobby just like the rest of us.
