Need help installing the lc2i pro into a 2013 lexus gs350 with the base sound system. I've never dealt with a line out converter before and not sure the best spot to tap in to everything is. Just need to know where I should be connecting everything on the lc2i pro at to the car. Do I want to power it off the factory amp or should I grab power from the fuse box? And what about the remote wire? Do I get that off the factory amp? And what speaker wires on the car do I want to tap in to? I've heard both the factory sub or the rears will work. Is one better than the other? Best grounding spot for the l2ci? Can I ground with the amp I added or find somewhere else?

@Lanson Feels like half of what I do is just tag you in stuff 🤣

Before digging into the details, what does the rest of the system look like?
Is it a full system, new speakers, amps for those speakers, DSP?
Or are you just adding a sub?

If you are just using the lc2i pro to get signal for a sub, then the factory sub signal should be sufficient. If your new sub amp accepts high level inputs, I'd question if a LOC is even necassary

Hey there,

This is never a route I would take so I don't have much to add if you are set on a minimal change. Those that tried to pull a signal just for bass found the OEM HU impossible for obvious reasons (or for those about to find out what they actually have in their car...an electro-optical MOST50 Toyota connection.)

Anyway now that I've been fully down the Lexus rabbit hole with my GS, I don't think I can confidently recommend any path other than the one I took in the end. On Club Lexus and here, the consensus is it's all compromise. I would never recommend tapping into the factory stuff.

Op if you haven't yet, feel free to review my build log and video on this. Same exact car as you (plus or minus package differences).

If you are after just extra bass, I'm not a good guide. However, if you want something that makes you want to keep the car forever, well then... Also, I can do the build if you need an expert who's been through this platform and can spare the car a while. Nothing on this car goes fast.

Where can I find your build log? I was just looking to add some quick bass for now until I can figure out exactly what I want to do. All im trying to put in right now is just a jl audio hd 1200.1 and a 13w7 from a previous car.
