The electrical spectrum analyzer (RTA) introduces two new functionalities:

“Capture RTA” button to save up to 10 microphone measurements and compare them in a single interface.
Bar or line display modes for more intuitive analysis.

In the Mixer of each Source, it is now possible to include Input channels from other Sources. For instance, in the Mixer of the Master Source, you can now add the contributions from the Optical input.

This allows you to create a “specialized” Mixer for every Source in the product.

This feature is particularly useful for integrating vehicle service signals with streaming from B-CON, as an alternative to using the Auto Chimes function already available in bitDrive.

The introduction of this function is also geared towards the increasingly advanced infotainment systems in vehicles, where drivers continuously exchange voice commands with the OEM system but still want to enjoy high-quality music playback from B-CON or other digital players.

I'm super excited about the mix of the analog and digital. That was one of my only complaints on this unit. Especially since I'll be doing digital 90% into the b con. Guess I'll have to update and check it out.

 

I might have to reconsider selling my AFM8.14

 

What had you even considering selling?

I really like my 8.14

 

I just downloaded it but haven't played with it yet.

Looking forward to the rew import/export. Hopefully it works well and can streamline tuning.

 

This has been a feature since 2.0 and it indeed does work well!

 

I have a helix v eight mk2 also. I like my audison and my helix but I keep going back to the audison for some reason. The helix just has a crisper sound in the higher frequencies but the audison’s midbass is stronger.

 

Too funny. I just grabbed a v eight mk2 along w a p one because everyone loves Helix. But I think Audison, since the release of the Forza bit, has produced a super solid DSP line

 

Another reason for the audison is I have a ford and the maestro module plugs directly into the audison for oem interfacing

 

I actually sold my v8 when I got my audison but to be honest that was because I was supposed to be getting an p6 ultimate and testing that vs the audison.

But I love the extra channels and power with audison, and the DRC looks great as well so no loss there and the b con is pretty awesome as well as I can do Bluetooth and do an optical out to a smsl po100 and plug in my dap

 

I’m telling you people are sleeping on these new audisons. If the forum could get past this “If other members on the forum don’t like it then I won’t like it too” mentality then the secret of a great amplifier would be out.

 

People are definitely sleeping on them. But I also understand they cater to a bigger European market than here.

 

I’m wondering which one of the two has better center channel processing.
