Waaaaaaaaay off. With that amount of disparity, I'd say something's gone wrong with your measurements.

Got it, that's exactly what I was thinking but I don't have any experience from which to judge. It's totally weird, I really don't know why the results are so odd. Will go through and check things again. Thanks!

Yeah, I'd say this is simply meant to avoid conflict.

 

if you had another woofer, you could test the parameters on a different speaker (from a different manf, etc.) and test your test system. you could see if the other woofer matches its parameters. if you have woofers just laying around.

 

I ran the test again, using a different computer and the results are pretty similar to the first test....the speaker wasn't 'warmed up' which may be some of the difference. Note that Vas on the first is in feet on the most recent one it's in liters. I pulled specs from LoudspeakerDatabase as well...

 

Ok, I just ran a test of a PVR speaker and the results are much closer to factor specs....at least it seems that way to me. What do you think? Pretty close?

 

Yeah, that's a lot more like it.

It appears Skar is playing fast and loose with their TS specs. This makes their dismissive response (to what now appear to be quite legitimate concerns) all the more telling...

 

This is nothing new with Skar.

I've seen a few "box designers" comment on how Skar lists wrong ts parameters for many of their subs over the years.

 

This is why nobody on the spl forums for the last 10 years would touch skar.

I think he worked at sundown then left and copied the design/used same buildhouse with cheaper parts.

Sell it...go with sundown...etc.
