Hi guys,

Looking for 12” SQ sub recommendations to model/graph in a small 0.78cu.ft sealed enclosure. The best 12” sub I’ve modelled so far that works really well in a small enclosure is the old school Eclipse SW8122.4. Ideally looking for 4-ohm, and I have 1300W on hand.

Cheers

What do you have depth available in an enclosure that small?

With a 12, that’s close to .6-.65 net volume. Just not sure many full size subs will find much success in such little volume. May have to explore a shallow sub or a 10 inch sub.

Maybe the Illusion C12.

For 10s I think GB10 or the Adire Brahama 10 would be my front runners for limited volume enclosures for SQ.

Maybe even a pair of of 8s to gain some cone area for a better output below 35 hz.

200mm depth.

The Eclipse I’ve modelled performs much better than any full sized 10” including my Hertz Mille Pro.

I know there aren’t many around, however the Eclipse SW8122.4 does perform, so seeing if there are any other full size 12’s that also perform before grabbing the Eclipse.

I’ll model the Illusion C12 vs the Eclipse, though being shallow and 400W I don’t think it will compare to the full sized Eclipse that can happily take 1000W.

Yellow - Hertz Mille Pro 10” on 600W
Red - Hertz Mille Pro 12” on 600W
Blue - Eclipse 12” on 1000W
All 3 are 22.26L sealed.

Gonna throw out the Morel Ultimo TI 12. It can go in a small box and has a shallow mounting depth. It was one I was looking at because I had to have a shallow sub but didn't want and actual shallow mount. I wound up going with a Raven 12XL because I changed the sub location for now.
