please don't mind my poor English.
I express my 3 nos. of amplifiers (Genesis dual mono) from Hong Kong to England on 20-6-2022 and upgrade them, I have been communicating with him (Amp Doctor) to 2-7-2022, but he was never found or reply again......Does anyone know what happened to him, please.

Gordon says your last conversation was you were sending a fourth amp, he is waiting for that at present, plus he’s dealing with a bout of covid currently 😷 Gordon is a good guy to deal with, your amps are in safe hands 👍🏼 He will definitely be in touch soon

Yeah it would be nice to have a US based option. I still sting because I had a 25th anniversary Punch 75 RF amp that needed to be fixed and got a reference from RF themselves. I should have known better because the web site was sketchy (this was back in the early 2000's though) and I did manage to get a guy on the phone but again not a great feeling. Sent off my amp, then I admit I forgot about it for 6+ weeks. I never was able to get back in touch with them and no one ever again answered the phone. Don't remember the name or anything about them now except it was Arizona. But I do miss that amp I had a nice collection of 4 of them, now I only have 3.

What does this have to do with the Amp Doctor ? Nothing at all, just sharing a story about being burned trying to get an amp repaired and even after hanging out on this site for years, I still have no idea where I could send an amp to be repaired.

I've heard from Gordon in the past week as part of a status update on an amp modification that he's doing for me. He can be a bit slow to respond at times, and he's got a deep backlog of work. He's had my amp for about 2 months, but he's been maintaining contact throughout the process. It just takes a little patience.

As for other people who can do the work, there are a number of really good techs out there who can do repairs and or upgrades to your amps (Jeff Priddy comes to mind). In the case of Genesis, Gordon has a very specialized knowledge and in the case of Platinum upgrades, etc., he's not just refreshing existing components, he's doing a comprehensive swap out of boards, etc.
