I am looking for a nice 5/6 channel amp somewhere in the 1,000 watt range with approx. 100x4 and 600x1. I would like for it to be 2ohm capable on the front 4 channels and 1ohm on the sub channel. I do not need a built in dsp. Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations. Budget is around $1,000 or less

Thank you for the recommendation. The MMATS certainly meets the power requirement. But I do not know much about them. The specs look pretty good. Seems like I read they have a noisy fan and some people modify and install a different one. How does it compare to the other amps I am looking at?

Nice amp Unfortunately, it is twice my budget. I am flexible, but not quite that much.

 

No way I'd run a 6150 bridged to 1ohm on the sub.

I'm sure it'd work.. for a little while. Lol

Edit, I do see they do spec it to do so, but yeah.. that's a big ask driving ch 5 and 6 hard at effectively .5ohm each.

Mind if I ask why? That's what I was planning on doing 😮‍💨. 5/6 bridged @1ohm to my front sub.

 

You can even run a pair of JL XD700/5s, one for left, one for right. At $430 each, you’re way under budget.

 

That is an option, But I am looking for a simple set up. I am only running a set of 2 way components up front and a set of coaxials in the rear. Do you like the JL XDM amps? Like the XDM 1000/5?

you could get one of the trinity audio 8 channels if that fits your goals.....they are 350 bucks i believe.

 

I would do (2) D’amore’s side by side since they are only about 5 inches wide (16” long each)… an E700.4 & E1500.1 … and the sale ends tonight .. find a 10% coupon and you set for under $600 👍

Voce 5.1k is a great 5ch amp , I have one in the box but I’m not going to sell it unless I can get something better for $700

 

I have a trinity 1500.8 in my shop I'm not using. I was using it for my front channels for a month or so. Surprising sq and power from a small footprint. I only pulled it to use the helix m six on my dash speakers. I can get some pics after work if you're interested.
