Does anyone other than JL make a 3 channel amp?

Audison srx3

Well, the Audison AF M5.11 that I'm currently running can be bridged into a 3-Channel, if that counts...

Copied from their website: 3 Ch (Bridge 1/2; 3/4) @ 4Ω / 2Ω: 300 W x 2 + 600 W x 1

maybe i'm missing something. why not take a good quality 4-channel amp, then bridge 2 channels together.

I have a BNIB SUNDOWN AUDIO SFB-1000.4D ( 4 Ch Full Range Amplifier) $375 shipped. Why not use a good 4 channel andbridge a set? Affords one flexibility down the line should the need changes.

4 x 350 at 4 ohms or 2 x 350 and 1 x 2000 at 2 ohms bridged, 2x 590 x 1 at 2000 bridged at 2 ohms.

Pretty crazy amplifier. Purchased it then realized that It won't fit, by a hair. Going to cost me $100 restocking fee, figure someone can benefit from my goof instead of shipping it back.

There are literally hundreds if you include bridging 2 channels on a 4 channel amp.

Please define your required power level.

What speakers are you trying to drive?

A dedicated 3-channel amp (like the JL) would be best at driving 4 or 2 ohm speakers + a 2 ohm sub.

A 4-channel amp, with 2 channels bridged, is good if you want to drive 4 or 2 ohm speakers + a 4 ohm sub.

Or a 5-channel amp, with the 2 channel pairs bridged, would be best to drive 4 ohm speakers + a 2 ohm sub.

The Sundown SFB100.4D is an exception. 4@1ohm, OR 2@ 1, 2 or 4 ohm and 1 channel 2 or 4 ohms bridged. Rediulouse power output.

Just a friendly reminder to those who do not know. Most class D amplifiers have a low pass filter that gets rid of distortion associated with the class D design. Most are designed to have a flat frequency response with a 4 ohm load on the channels. When you drop the load to a 2 ohm or lower, you will normally have a 1-3db roll off somewhere between 10-20khz.

"The final, and no less important, section is the output filter. Most Class D designs utilize a Butterworth filter scheme for simplicity and low cost. The output filter is essential for low pass filtering, or integrating, the carrier's varying pulse duty cycle into the original audio content while attenuating (absorbing) the switching carrier frequency. Selection of filter component values is very important and essential to maximizing efficiency."

Biketronics has the BT3725. 250w x 2 @4ohms, 700w x 1 @2ohms. Their website sucks, so you won't find it there. Pretty much have to call to ask about it. But they are tiny, efficient and great sounding amps (they use Hypex ucd amp modules). Mine have been rock solid for the past 3 years.

Lol. I haven't posted a build-log here, maybe I should get on that. All I have is a woefully out-of-date one on CAJ. Page 3 at least has the Biketronics amps and my current sub setup:
